Vouloir dire que - French subjunctive?

Does vouloir dire que take the French subjunctive?

Yes and no! Vouloir dire que is followed by the French subjunctive only in negative sentences and in questions with inversion.
In affirmative sentences, the verb is conjugated in the indicative.

Example

Vouloir dire que – To mean that

Affirmative: Cela veut dire qu’il y aura du monde ce soir.
That means there will be a lot of people tonight.

Negation: Cela ne veut pas dire qu’il y ait du monde ce soir.
This does not mean that there will be a lot of people tonight.

Question with inversion: Cela veut-il dire qu’il y ait du monde ce soir ?
Does that mean there will be a lot of people tonight?
