The Perfect French with Dylane

Frequently Asked Questions

I thought I would start teaching one-on-one at one point after creating my platform but I prefer creating free content and work on my books. This way I am able to reach more people and offer free lessons to more people than if I was teaching one-on-one.

I recommend 2 different websites with very different services :

ITALKI is a platform where you can find many French tutors at all prices. A great way to practice your conversation skills and pronunciation.

Check it out here

LINGODA has a different method than Italki. Lingoda is more structured but also more expensive than Italki. They have a great program with challenges and learning marathons that make learning more interesting. Check it out here

Unfortunately, the printing is handled by Amazon. The books leave the warehouse to go straight to you so I can’t add a note inside.

Maybe one day I will handle the shipping.

I have 2 apps that I really enjoyed (besides the regular ones that everybody knows) :

I love Ling App because of the many languages they offer. The French lessons are well structured and challenging.

I have been recommending Memrise for a long time. If you know me, you know that I love learning things by heart and this is how I learned English.

Beginners:

Watching movies and TV Shows in French when you are a beginner is challenging. You are still confused about grammar, vocabulary, and especially pronunciation, so a whole movie?
For beginners, I always recommend that you watch a movie or a TV Show that you already know well. (I can’t be the only one watching The office and Parks and Rec again and again)
Watch your favourite movie / TV show in French with French subtitles.

The easiest way to find your favourite movie / TV show in French is to use a VPN that will change your location so you can use your NETFLIX anywhere. (They also give you extra protection online). Here are my top choices :
