La tour Eiffel est l’un des monuments les plus célèbres du monde. Elle se trouve à Paris, la capitale de la France, et c’est aussi l’une des attractions touristiques les plus visitées au monde. Pour beaucoup, elle représente le romantisme et l’élégance. Donc, parlons de la tour Eiffel et de quelques anecdotes que je pense que je vous ne connaissez pas !
Chaque année, près de 7 (sept) millions de personnes visitent la tour Eiffel. Beaucoup de couples se marient ou se fiancent sur ou au bas de la tour Eiffel. Ce qui renforce l’idée du romantisme.
La tour Eiffel a été conçue par l’ingénieur Gustave Eiffel. Sa construction a débuté en 1887 (mille huit cent quatre-vingt-sept) et a été achevée en 1889 (mille huit cent quatre-vingt-neuf) pour l’Exposition universelle. À l’origine, la tour Eiffel devait être détruite en 1910 (mille neuf cent dix), donc après une vingtaine d’années. Le succès de la tour Eiffel a vite changé les plans de la ville de Paris. Rien que pendant l’Exposition universelle, elle a été visitée plus de 2 (deux) millions de fois. Du coup, il a été décidé qu’elle pouvait rester là.
Je pense que vous savez que la tour Eiffel est haute mais est-ce que vous savez que sa taille change ? Sa structure fait techniquement 324 (trois cent vingt-quatre) mètres de haut mais cela change avec les températures. En été, elle rétrécit de 4 (quatre) à 8 (huit) centimètres. Elle peut aussi s’incliner légèrement. Son record d’inclinaison est de 18 (dix-huit) centimètres, c’était en 1976 (mille neuf cent soixante-seize).
Entre 1925 (mille neuf cent vingt-six) et 1934 (mille neuf cent trente-quatre), la tour Eiffel était la plus grande publicité du monde. La marque de voiture française Citroën a utilisé le monument pour faire sa publicité quand il faisait noir. Entre le deuxième et le troisième étage, 250.000 (deux cent cinquante mille) lumières représentaient les 7 (sept) lettres de la marque. Entre le premier et le deuxième étage, on pouvait voir le logo de la marque.
Est-ce que vous savez que sa couleur n’a pas toujours été ce “brun tour Eiffel” ? Elle a d’abord été rouge, rouge venise pour être exacte, avant d’être vite repeinte pour l’exposition Universelle en brun rouge. Trois ans plus tard, elle devient jaune brun avant d’être changée de nouveau en jaune en 1900 (mille neuf cents). Il y a eu jaune brun après ça, rouge brun aussi, avant d’être finalement peinte en “brun tour Eiffel” depuis 1968 (mille neuf cent soixante-huit). Ça fait beaucoup de peinture !
Si vous voulez envoyer des cartes postales à vos proches, vous pouvez le faire directement de la tour Eiffel. Il y a un bureau de poste situé dans le pilier sud depuis 2009 (deux mille neuf). Avant cela, il était situé au premier étage. Il est vraiment minuscule, il fait moins de 3 mètres sur 3 mètres. Mais au moins, vous pouvez envoyer vos cartes postales directement la tour Eiffel.
Pour finir ce chit-chat, voici quelques infos si vous voulez visiter la tour Eiffel. Cela coûte entre 18 (dix-huit) et 28 (vingt-huit) euros par personne pour prendre l’ascenseur. 18 pour le deuxième étage. 28 pour le sommet. Cela coûte moins cher de prendre les escaliers, seulement 11 (onze) euros par personne. Il y a aussi d’autres options comme aller au sommet avec une coupe de champagne pour 47 (quarante-sept) euros. La tour Eiffel est ouverte tous les jours de 9 heures du matin à minuit. C’est bien d’acheter ses billets en ligne mais il y a toujours une file.

There were subsequent variations of yellow-brown and red-brown before finally being painted in “Eiffel Tower brown” in 1968. That’s a lot of paint!
If you want to send postcards to your loved ones, you can do so directly from the Eiffel Tower. There is a post office located in the south pillar since 2009. Before that, it was located on the 1st floor. It is really tiny, measuring less than 3 meters by 3 meters. But at least you can send your postcards directly from the Eiffel Tower.
To conclude this chit-chat, here is some information if you want to visit the Eiffel Tower. It costs between 18 (eighteen) and 28 (twenty-eight) euros per person to take the elevator. 18 for the 2nd floor. 28 for the summit. It is cheaper to take the stairs, only 11 (eleven) euros per person. There are also other options, such as going to the summit with a glass of champagne for 47 (forty-seven) euros. The Eiffel Tower is open every day from 9 a.m. to midnight. It is advisable to buy tickets online, but there is always a line.
