I didn’t plan to make this but that’s what French Learning is all about. Last week, I posted a short video where you had to find the error in a French sentence. The sentence I gave was “J’ai appellé mon amie ce matin – I called my friend this morning” The mistake was the spelling of appelé, which only takes one L. However, many thought that mon amie, should be ma amie. So let’s talk! Is it Mon amie or Ma amie? French Possessive Adjectives.

The rule around MON MA MES and when to use MON with a French Feminine Noun.

    What is mon in French?

Mon is a possessive adjective that translates to my in English. We have plenty of possessive adjectives in French. 3 times the amount of the ones in English. The reason why we have so many is because they agree with the noun they describe. Which means that they will be masculine, feminine, or plural.
