Speak French with me – New French Speaking Practice (aka Shadowing) to improve your French speaking and pronunciation skills. Today’s subject is “On prend le train pour aller à Paris.” I chose easy vocabulary terms and easy pronunciation for today’s lesson. I hope you will like it 🙂
Ce matin, on prend le train pour aller à Paris. On est arrivés à la gare avec une heure d’avance. On préfère toujours être en avance. Le voyage va durer un peu plus de deux heures. Je crois qu’il n’y a qu’un seul arrêt entre ici et Paris. On a réservé deux places en première classe car il n’y avait plus de places disponibles en deuxième classe. Cela nous a coûté le double du prix normal donc j’espère que les sièges seront confortables.
This morning, we are going to take the train to go to Paris. We arrived at the train station an hour early. We always prefer to be early. The trip will take a little over two hours. I believe there is only one stop between here and Paris. We reserved two seats in first class because there were no more seats available in second class. It cost us double the normal price, so hopefully, the seats will be comfortable.
